Hello, everyone! Welcome to 2016!
One of the many exciting things I have planned for this year is expanding what I write reviews on. Books, whether it's reading or writing them, is just one facet of my life ... I'm an equal SQUEE opportunist so *insert drum roll here* I'm also going to share the products that I love!
First up, I'm completely addicted to oracle cards. Similar to tarot, oracle cards are beautifully designed messages designed to inspire, instruct, and motivate the person using them. Whether you enjoy them as something fun or as a way to get some extra guidance, I'm really enjoying discovering this new-to-me form of perspective.
For Christmas, I bought the following deck: The Oracle of Shapeshifters by Lucy Cavendish. Not only are these cards GORGEOUS but they make me smile and think of my Mystic Wolves series!
Here's a little information about the card set as found on Amazon.
This striking collection of forty-five illustrated cards and an in-depth guidebook entertain and empower with sage advice.
The wisdom of magickal familiars—once the companions of shamans, witches, wizards, and wise ones—is now directly accessible in this deck of forty-five cards and comprehensive guidebook. These mystical allies possess the hidden knowledge of shapeshifting, camouflage, invisibility, and metamorphosis. They are ready to share their very honest, truly instinctual guidance for personal and planetary times of transition. These trustworthy companions will lend you their courage, point out new paths, help you make fresh discoveries, spark your creativity, inspire you with encouragement, and teach you to develop abilities to adapt and change—not only for survival, but to thrive and find peace, joy, accomplishment, and satisfaction in a changing world.
With a 176-page guidebook by Lucy Cavendish revealing the history, legends, lore, and magick of the shapeshifters—including practical spreads for accurate readings—and 45 colorful cards featuring stunning art by Jasmine Becket-Griffith, the Oracle of the Shapeshifters is truly a unique and empowering deck.

I'm such a visual person and these cards INSTANTLY caught my attention on Amazon. Yes, it had a little to do with the wolf on the cover, but once I clicked open the link and saw the review photos, I was SOLD!! #lovemywolves #howlatthemoon
It wasn't until I received my own deck that I truly gasped and realized just how stunning each card was. Paired with the the description and message written for each design, these have quickly become my FAVORITE oracle cards to date. The colors are vibrant and bold, which I LOVE because pastels tend to make me gaze over things. Just looking at each one resonated and sparked my imagination--and that's without opening up the guidebook to see what they meant.
Something I'd read about and believe is that if a card EVER makes you feel uncomfortable or weird, put it back. Whether it's oracle or tarot, YOU determine what's truth. YOU hold the power, especially if it doesn't feel good. The messages can help you identify truth within yourself and help offer different perspectives to the question you ask. I found this helpful when doing my first reading. The first card was SPOT ON ... like I could've ended it right there and then and place the following three cards back in the deck.
I really enjoyed the guidebook included with the box set, especially the introduction. In it, the author shares the purpose behind the cards as well as helpful insights to make the most out of the deck. If you're like me, I love understanding the "logic" and "emotion" behind things. It helps me get the most out of the situation and see whether it's something that can benefit me. So two thumbs up!
All in all, I'm in LOVE with this deck and can't wait to explore not just what this product has to offer but also enjoy more from both the author and artist. This collaboration is a great addition to my library and I'll be sharing more readings with you all through 2016!

Today's One Card Reading
The question - What do I need to learn today?
The Faery Bee
"My life is SWEET"
A bee can symbolize abundance, but, most important, it symbolizes that all you need is being provided--and love is sure to come!
You have spent too much time among the bare-branched ones, who have told you that you will never acquire the luxury of feeling safe and comforted, but I am here to share that living life sweetly is as simple for you now as being outside in the sunshine for a few moments each day.
Have no doubt your life can be as sweet and sound as honey; as healthy, strong, and productive as bees; and as busy doing something you love as theirs. You will experience abundance and golden times!
