Man, it seems like a lifetime since I participated. This year has truly kicked my butt but things are FINALLY looking up so my poor blog won't be so neglected. I've missed everyone so I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
This week's question comes from Read Books Have Fun
How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?
Hmmm, is this PRE Kindle or POST Kindle?
Pre Kindle I would go to places like Bookmans, Barnes & Noble, Borders and Walmart to buy books. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bookmans. It's this huge second hand store and I would spend hours there looking through everything. It wasn't a far stretch for me to walk out spending close to $100. I would also shop online at Amazon and Paperbackswap. LOL I had an addiction to PBSwap.
Post Kindle, sad to say, I buy most of the books I read now in ebook format. I visit mostly Amazon, Smashwords and Fictionwise.com. Fictionwise is an AMAZING ebook store because they are constantly doing sales - the last one was for 60% off all ebooks! I love to buy alot of my romance through them and it's a great way to find new indie authors to read.
Sadly, where I used to live, the library suffered HUGE budget cuts and so they no longer were able to keep up with buying new releases. The shelves became emptier and opening hours changed. I stopped visiting BUT I heard the library where I'm living now is fabulous so I'm looking forward to exploring there!
Can't wait to catch up! Leave me a comment and I'll make sure to come by and return the visit!
