*Interview With Cara Marsi*

1. Can you tell us a little about Logan's Redemption? What do you think will draw the reader in?

First, thank you for having me today, Belinda.
"Logan's Redemption" is ultimately a story of love, romance and second chances. It's also a suspense and a cautionary tale about how the lies and secrets we choose will come back to haunt us. Logan and Doriana had loved each other as teens. He never felt he belonged in her world. She's from a wealthy, tight-knit family. He's the motherless son of an abusive alcoholic father. He dreamed of a life with her until one fateful night when he was forced to flee from Philadelphia to parts unknown. She was only 17 and never got a chance to tell Logan she was pregnant. Now he's back and her old secrets are about to explode. Logan has a few secrets of his own. Plus someone is stalking Doriana and sabotaging her father's company.

2. How did you come up with the idea behind the book?

I love reading and writing suspense. I love romance. So writing a romantic suspense came naturally. I got the germ of the idea from an old Claudette Colbert/Fred MacMurray romantic comedy. In the movie the Colbert character hires the MacMurray character to be her assistant. She thinks he's an unemployed tunnel rat. But he's so much more. My story is darker, but I love the idea of people with secrets who aren't what they seem. Logan is working as Doriana's temporary assistant. She thinks he flits from place to place and job to job. But he's so much more.

3. How would describe Doriana to others? What would be one of her more endearing qualities?

She's a driven workaholic who is close to her parents. She works hard at her father's company and has to deal with a slacker brother and a rebellious son. She has a lot on her plate, and she won't allow herself to have fun. She's so disciplined, and when Logan shows up it throws all her self-control out the window. When he talks her into buying a real Christmas tree instead of using her old fake tree, she lets loose and really has a good time. And to make Logan happy, she gives him a gift she thinks will help heal him. But it backfires. One of her more endearing qualities is she loves her son totally, but he's become a handful and, like all parents, she struggles with trying to understand and help him.

4. What kind of insight can you offer about Logan? What do you think makes him such a great love interest in the story?

Logan feels he's flawed. He had to take care of his abusive alcoholic father after his mother died. He came from the hardscrabble streets of Philadelphia. Loving Doriana made him dream of a better life, until it was snatched from him. He's never stopped loving Doriana. When he finds out he has a son with her, his old insecurities rise up. He has trouble forgiving her for not telling him, but he loves her and he'll risk his life to protect her from the guy stalking her. He also wants desperately for forge a bond with his son and to have the kind of family he never knew. He's sexy, a good lover, strong, and a warrior,. But he's caring and loving and teaches Doriana how to enjoy life again.

5. What makes these two such a great couple?

He shows her how to let go of the wall around her heart and to fully embrace life. She teaches him that he is a decent person, a man she's proud to love. She helps him heal and to finally exorcise the demons that plague him. And they are so hot for each other.

6. What was your favorite line in the story? Your favorite swoon moment?

"I want to be angry with you,‛ he rasped. "But when I look at you... Do you have any idea of what you do to me?‛"
Feminine power surged through her. "Tell me."
He drew a ragged breath. "I’ll show you."

He took her hands and kissed each palm, running his tongue over her sensitized skin. She trembled and lifted her face for his kiss. Tonight she would pretend he still loved her. Tonight would belong to them. Logan took her lips in a crushing kiss. He tasted of pizza and beer and male. She met his hunger and passion with an answering wildness. The demands of his lips peeled away the years. They were young and in love again. But she didn’t want the past. She wanted Logan now.

7. Is there anything else you're working on at the moment you'd like to share? Any future projects?

I currently have two other books out now: "Murder, Mi Amore," a romantic suspense novella set in Italy, from The Wild Rose Press and "Cursed Mates," a paranormal romance set in Maine, from Noble Romance Publishing. My website has excerpts and buy links for all my books, and also the titles of my published short stories.

I've just finished a sweet, but spicy novella about a bridal shop owner and the town's former bad boy who turns her world upside down. I'm planning to publish it along with two bonus short romance stories sometime in the next few months.

8. Where can people find you on the Internet?
