Waiting On Wednesday #30 (hehe I picked a number)

Just released today on Goodreads... *SQUEE* I'm a beta reader for this series so I've read this book but that's not what I'm desperately anticipating it's release for. What I can't wait for is to TALK ABOUT IT! I want to be able gossip and drool back and forth with others, swap favorite parts and have complete gushfests over how amazing Vance is. Until then, my tongue is getting sore from constantly biting it! June can't come fast enough because guys...
this book will BLOW YOUR MIND!

The Dark Rising
Lacey Weatherford
Book Four - Of Witches & Warlock series
Release -June 2011

When Portia Mullins discovers the love of her life is still alive, her heart soars. But reality sets in immediately causing it to plummet when she realizes that he doesn’t remember his past life with her. Unwilling to give up on him, she embarks on a loving quest to help restore his life to him. Vance Mangum sees the beautiful girl standing before him claiming to be his wife, and while he can’t remember her, he also can’t deny the intense pull he feels between them. Not knowing where else to turn, he agrees to give her the time she’s asked for and to help her in the effort to recover his memories. The two quickly reconnect with one another, but dark surprises are lurking in the wings when Vance discovers a desperate longing for something he feels he can’t withstand. Will he be able to resist? Or will evil raise its head in a new form, leaving Portia as the prey of the very man her heart desires? Darkness reigns supreme in this haunting tale of love and desperation, Of Witches and Warlocks, The Dark Rising.

If you're following The Trouble With Spell Blog Tour (book one in this series) you'll have seen a world exclusive today over at Ren's Blogging About. Today, at the plea of fans, author Lacey Weatherford released a TEASER from the book. I thought I'd add it this because if the cover and blurb haven't tempted you to add it to your TBR pile, Vance in action will .... enjoy!

"He reached a hand out and pulled my hair back away from my neck, before leaning his head next to my ear.
“I win,” he whispered in a low throaty voice and he traced up the edge of my ear with his tongue.
Exasperation shot through me at his words, but I couldn’t respond to him at all and I silently cursed his father too for the new powers he was so obviously exhibiting.
“Twice in one night. I feel so special,” he said, trailing his lips up and down the skin of my neck as he spoke. “Though I have to say I didn’t care for the way you left me hanging a few hours ago. That wasn’t nice. I was so frustrated I had to go out and burn off some steam. I'm glad I did now.”
He suddenly nipped lightly at the surface of my neck and while it wasn’t a full bite I could tell it was still deep enough to have drawn blood and I could feel little wet welts of it rising up to the surface.
Inhaling deeply through his nose, he lifted a finger to run it up the side of my neck lifting a drop of it before placing the tip in his mouth and sucking on it gently, closing his eyes in complete ecstasy.
“You have no idea how good you taste, Portia,” he said when he pulled it from his mouth.
He slowly ran his wet finger up my neck, procuring another drop on the tip but this time he lifted it to my mouth, dipping it inside of my own lip, rubbing the blood there.
“Can you taste it?” he asked seductively, the drop causing a coppery sensation to seep slightly in my mouth and I would’ve shivered if I could have."

 Happy Reading!

oww..this is one book of the series which the tour is running now. I wish I have joined the blog tour since few months ago. :)
So I can take a part also.

I have had the first book. I hope I can read it as soon as possible.

I think I have to stop in each blog to know what the other said about this book

You KNOW I can't wait to read this one. I have other books I'm waiting for, but I'm eagerly waiting for this one. We (JoAnna and I) called Lacey after we finished the third one with a simple "Really?!" She is notorious for leaving us hanging. Which is cool. Time just sucks.

Might actually hold off on reading 3 again (rereading 2 for the third time now) until just before 4 comes out. Still keeping fingers crossed for a potential movie.

That sounds great. Reminds me a tad of Tiernan's Sweep (not doing the 'Twilight' comparing thing!!!)
Just remembering the heartbreak of losing someone and then finding them only to find that they don't remember you. It broke my heart!

It sounds like a wonderful series and I know I've been to your site a few times and have seen the series here. It's time for me to check it out!

Thanks for sharing! Glad you got to Beta Test, that's so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by. You're right, the book has a very striking cover. The only thing I would wish for is better attention to the mythological system being used.
I haven't come across your pick before. It looks interesting, though.

Book 4 already! While I've not heard of this series yet, judging from the blurb, I think it sounds interesting -the girl will go in a quest to restore her love! How romantic.
