Teaser Tuesday #29

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading and here's how you play..  Grab your current read and open to a random page. Share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page. BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teaser.

"Ummm, please don't do that while I'm driving. I want to make sure I get you there in one piece and I'm afraid if you keep that up ... ummm... I'll crash the car at the very least." With that he gave her a warning look, with a sly, erotic smile."

Blood Of A Werewolf, T. Lynne Tolles

"And here she was, quivering with frustration because an inebriated rogue refused to ravish her. Her heart sank. What was wrong with her? Was she so ugly that a drunk didn't want her?"

- A Dead Man's Debt, Grace Elliot

"Cry," he said. "Make noise."
She tried to shove away with arms that had turned into boiled spaghetti. "No, I-"
"Don't say anything. Just cry. Sometimes humans are supposed to cry."

- Dragon Blues, Edie Ramer

Good choice of books there - particularly 2 and 3 (love their covers, adding to my TBR list now).

Grace Elliot sounds like an author I should read.

Some very steamy teasers :)

I think I like the third one the best b/c it makes me want to know WHY she's going to cry!

I'm glad my teaser renewed your interest in reading Jackie Morse Kessler! I really love these books and hope you will, too!

I call these kinds of books bodice rippers or lust in the dust tales. Not sure if it qualifies when vampires and werewolves are involved? :-) Great fun anyway!

Don't have a blog so I'll share my Tuesday Teaser here:

Apart from the wedding kimono that Natsuko has chosen for me and sent in a cedar box, she gave me a small lacquer chest locked with a gold key in a jade bolt. The interior of the lid was decorated with old Satsuma work displaying boughs of trailing wisteria.
