This week's question -

Do You Judge A Book
By It's Cover?

100% absolutely! I'm a cover whore and I've definitely bought books solely based on how in love with the cover I am. I've stayed away from books where I've cringed at the art work and silently wished I could redo the cover! Of course, having an amazing cover doesn't guarantee I'll enjoy the story and there's been many times I've hestitated reading something because of the cover, only to fall completely in love with the book. But me, the cover needs to rock it! It's what generates my excitement to read .... hehehe also I'm a romance reader.. have you seen the HOT men in full swagger they show??

Next, are you an aspiring writer looking
to connect with others?

Popping in again, and yes I'm a total cover freak.

I almost didn't bother with Steig Larsen's books cause the covers just didn't do it for me. I'm glad I read them, I enjoyed them immensely. The covers can be sooo deceptive. I have a few where the cover was better than the content, but thankfully that doesn't happen often.

Have a great weekend, it's already 6:00 pm Friday evening here in OZ.

I wouldn't call myself a cover whore, but I do tend to judge a book by its cover to see if its something I would be interested in.

Here's my Friday Hops

Have a GREAT weekend!

Yes. I judge a book by its cover too! The more intersting or elaborate the cover, the better!

Hey, good answer! I also judge books by their cover. It's what catches our eye and makes us pick up the book to learn more after all. Happy Reading!

The cover is what draws me in first, but the description has to sell me! I'm already a follower. My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews

haha. so nice of you to provide some cover examples.

I think romance novels may be the one book that I don't judge by its cover. I prefer that there not be a sexy scene on the front because I hate when people judge me based on what I read.

New Follower hopping by to say hi...I am a sucker for a pretty cover, if the cover is pretty and the back of the book interests me I'm sold! Happy Reading =o)

I think we can all agree that even the most beautiful book cover can't sell a book if the writing's not there. Book cover art may, at best, help steer me in the book's direction (especially if I'm in a book store) but it's not going to hypnotize me into buying it right then and there.

I expound on all the marketing qualities of a good book. Just follow me back to my book blog - http://www.howardsherman.net

Thank God it's Follow Friday!?
