Blogger HOP #20 + Follow Friday #1 + Follow Friday For Writers #2

Hosted by Jen at Crazy-For-Books  - In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read
This week's question is....

Since today is April Fool's Day in the USA, what is the best prank you have ever played on someone OR that someone has played on you?"

Hmm.. you know I honestly don't remember. Oh wait! I remember going with my friend to visit these guys we worked with. They were always joking around and it drove us nuts. We ended up toilet papering their car REALLY good and we thought we were so awesome, congratulating ourselves on getting the one up on them. Turns out, the guys were watching from the window *pouts*

4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
7. If you're new to the follow friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

What is the book that you really don't want
to admit to loving??

*drum roll* This is my first ever Follow Friday!

You know what, if I love a book, I shout it from the rooftops. I can't really think of a book that I'm embarassed to share my love for. I WILL add though, being someone who predominantly reads romance, there are ALOT of book covers that I do my best to hide LOL I was working out once and this guy asked me what I was reading. Without thinking, I showed him the cover. He went beet read, I went beet red and he never asked again! I appreciate a good cover lust but some of them can be pretty cheesy.

Let me add a second thought, a GENRE that I absolutely LOVE reading but I'm embarassed to admit out loud to strangers is erotica. I went to the bookstore yesterday and it took me 20 minutes to gather the courage to ask where that section was. I was expecting some dark, back corner. Nope, the clerk led me to the well light, right by the register section where EVERYONE could see. I think I lasted a minute or two there before I vowed to only buy online. I need to work on that... there's nothing wrong with a healthy dose of "lovin'" Just get tired of the looks that come from "Gasp you read porn?" Ummm.. no I don't read porn. I read romance with some extra fun bits LOL

This weeks question is...

"Some people like to do it in the office. Others prefer it in bed. Some people like it on the dining room table. Get your mind out of the gutter, I'm asking you where you like to write!"

Click to visit my Writings of a Dreamer page and don't forget to follow me there as well *grins*

I couldn't think of a book I don't want to admit to loving either. I'm proud of what I read no matter what the material is.

I can see your point about Erotica though. I'm sure more people read it than will admit to it.

Lol at your story about erotica. I have an even more embarrassing story that I can't bare to tell. Maybe one day.

If I've got any guilty pleasures in my reading history, it's probably John Norman's Gor novels.

At first I wasn't going to participate in this week's Book Blogger Hop. I'm not even sure why.

But here I am. And I'm glad! To dispel any false impressions people may have had about me being a old, stodgy fuddy-duddy I'm happy to share some of my very best pranks with you.

Highlights include - low-grade explosives, eggs and salt shakers. Get all the side-splitting details over on my blog -

They date back to my younger years as a Brooklyn boy which brings about some introspection.

I'm going to go pull some pranks today. Look out world! I'm coming out of prankster retirement!

Thanks for dropping by my blog! Nice blog you've got going on here yourself -- fantastic design! :-D And quite an elaborate prank you played, it seems ;-)

Have a great weekend!

I've wanted to try erotica, but they don't have an actual section for it in my bookstore. It's mixed in with romance, if they have any at all. I might try ordering online.

Thanks for following, I'm following back. Have an awesome weekend! :)

Just hopping by for the book blogger hop. I remember the days of toilet papering when I was much younger. Do kids still do that?

Have a nice weekend.

(I'm already a follower)
