My first thought when putting this post together was there were just so many amazing couples out there, that I couldn't possibly choose just one. I started making a list of who I could shared but to prevent being lynched by the friends I've made through the HP Mallory book club (I told them "You can pick only one couple") I'll follow the same guidelines and pick just ONE. I tell you, the decision was tough but one couple just kept floating to the top until it was pretty obvious - these two lovebirds were my all time favorite. So who are they??
Rain and Ellysetta
Tairen Soul series
Oh my gosh, this couple eat, sleep and breathes romance! Right from the beginning, Rain makes his intentions known and his focus is solely on Ellysetta. This man is so incredibly passionate, seductive and devoted and for him, the world revolves around his Beloved. When Rain loves, he loves completely and even though Ellysetta has a difficult time completely their mating bond (it requires the full giving of self over to the other) he is patient and gentle. (all the while going mad from it) Ellysetta is a woodcarvers daughter so when Rain swoops in from the sky (He is the Fae King and Tairen Soul) she is floored that someone so powerful and beautiful could ever want her. She is fiercely protective and loyal to Rain, and together they make a phenomenal couple. They had me sighing and swooning with just how intimate and considerate they were with each other. They had me fanning myself off as I read page after page of their deep passion. There are couples and then there are COUPLES and Rain and Ellysetta are worthy to hold number one romantic couple in my eyes. Their love is epic and so I would definitely recommend reading about them.
This is is a good representation of Rain's attitude towards Ellysetta -
"When a Fey warrior meets the woman who completes him, his soul's truemate, he knows in an instant. And in that instant, whether she will have him or no, he binds himself to her, heart and soul with the words "Ver reisa ku'chae. Kem surah, shei'tani" which means "Your soul calls out. Mine answers beloved" And he spends the days of their courtship - the rest of his life, if necessary - proving himself worthy of the magnificent gift of her love"
So which couple did the others pick?

"After much deliberation and coin tossing, I have narrowed it down to just one couple. My favorite book couple would have to be Shannon Parker and Clanfintan from P.C. Cast's Divine Series. Shannon and Clanfintan have a love story (Oh Yeah) that is mixed with excitement (battle to save their world) and also a little magic (centaurs). Believe me after reading this you will be dreaming about Clanfintan!!! This series was an awesome read. I highly recommend it. "

"I'd have to say my favorite book couple is Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall simply because their love transcends time, literally. They are featured in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. The books are pretty long and highly detailed, but worth the read- and even better, the series is not over yet! Jamie and Claire don't have the traditional Scottish romance. They are generally upfront and honest about their feelings for each other from the start. What really strikes me is how strong their bond is, no matter what the circumstances, there is a connection between them that cannot be broken. Jamie has made me shed tears of pain and tears of joy. Not many books have affected me in this way. Can't wait to see what Jamie and Claire are up to next!"

"My favorite book couple is Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy and Miss Elizabeth Bennett from the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. My husband says this book is like the Bible to me, the holy grail of all novels, lol. I must admit this is true, I am a Jane Austen nerd and very proud of it! My love for Elizabeth and Darcy is due to the nature of who they are. Elizabeth , a young woman in the time of the regency era, when ladies were still taught to be prim and proper, not to speak unless spoken to,that they should walk a certain way, talk a certain way, dress a certain way, that established their class ,and hopefully marry into money. Marrying for love was not something looked upon as wise or proper then. Elizabeth defied all these , she said what she felt ,when she felt it ,to whom she wished. She didn't care to separate class, she always held her head high no matter where she was and she would not marry unless she loved. Mr. Darcy was a man that was rich and handsome , he was sure of himself and what he believed in, he was quiet and a bit stuck up at times, he wasn't use to a woman like Elizabeth, but that's what caught his interest. I love this story because it is about a pure love , an old fashioned love, the kind that you will only see in a book . About a man that loves a woman so much he would do anything, give anything ,even risk his name and inheritance for her. And about a young woman that though at first she sees only his faults , she learns to see who he really is and falls head over heels..Neither waver in their affections , no matter who tries to stop their love they stand together and in the end love prevails."
"I don't want to give anything away, but Mead's story also boasts other love interests for Ms. Markham. However, I found the dynamic between Dorian and Eugenie to be the most entertaining. Dorian is strong and honorable with godlike features and his passion for kink only makes me desire him more. Eugenie is the perfect heroine. Lovely and compelling, yet humanly flawed. When brought together they make magic, not only in the bedroom, but throughout their adventure. The tension created by their sizzling attraction keeps you on the edge of your seat and reaching for the ice water. I just wanted to hand them the leather restraints and say “get it on already”!"
"Although this series offers a variety of note worthy couples, this couple is by far my favorite of the series. I found myself devouring each page so quickly just to read what would happen next. The chemistry between the two is spine-tingling from the start to finish."

"Of all my fantasy friends my favorite couple has to be Mac and Barrons, the chemistry the sparks, the secrets....tantalizing. Not to mention the life lessons, like fortitude...never give up, there's a way.....that pretty words are indeed that, just pretty words..... judge people by their actions not the actions of their mouth. And love, it taught me that even after a 1000 years, love can still make a difference. "
