I am so excited to have Eve on my blog today to talk about her book Lucifer's Daughter. I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED this book and couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Eve is such a talented author who writes stories filled with love, passion and characters you instantly connect with. So I hope you enjoy the interview and take time to enter the giveaway *smiles*
What would you want people to know about you and your books?
Skip me, I'm a boring housewife with three kids lol. But my stories...they're anything but. Most of my work tends to have a humorous flair because I think the best romances have smiles and laughter. I'll admit to being completely irreverent, and enjoy taking taboo subjects like religion for example and putting my own spin on it. I'm not for everyone, that's for sure. I know my inclusion of a devil worshiping scene in one of my stories made more than one reader gape in shock. But if you are open minded, enjoy rooting for the bad guy (or girl), and want stories that step outside the box, then I might have a tale or two to intrigue.
What was it about romance that made you think "Oh this is what I want to write about?
I love happy endings. When I finish a book, I want to sigh and have a sappy smile on my face. And if the hot scenes are well done, let's just say my husband reaps the benefits. lol
How did you come up with the idea behind writing Lucifer's Daughter?
I'm a huge fan of anything paranormal, but the idea for this one really hit me out of the blue. Everyone talks about the the demons in Hell and the son of Lucifer, but I wondered what if Satan had a daughter, a daddy's girl who drives him absolutely batty? I then threw in a hot love interest(that her father hates), a rebellion in Hell and a sassy attitude. I have to say the result is vastly entertaining so long as you don't mind liberties taken with religious concepts.
What were some of your thoughts when you were developing Muriel and Auric's characters and the storyline?
I wanted Muriel to be a character women could relate to, who has her girly moments, but at the same time doesn't allow herself to be stepped on. As for Auric, I'm sorry, but I love mysterious, dangerous take charge men. Some might find him overbearing, but I love his masculine attitude, and besides, he needed to be strong(not to mention brave) to date the daughter of the Devil.
If you could share an insight or secret about Muriel and Auric with your readers, what would it be?
While their bond might be tested in the future, rest assured that their commitment to each other is rock solid.
What was your favorite part about writing the book? Which scene were you most excited to write?
My favorite parts had Lucifer in them because his very state of being allowed me to say and do things with him that no other character could ever hope to carry off. His interactions with Muriel had me in stitches even as I wrote them because I could so easily picture them bickering. I'll also admit that Muriel's big fight scene had me grinning, but I don't want to say too much about that other than she kicks ass!
If Auric and Muriel could have a "theme song" what would it be?
There's only one song for those two. What Does It Take by Honeymoon Suite. It's the song that decided what Auric was and is a perfect love song for this pair.
Any future projects?
I'm always working :) I've got a third installment for Lucifer's Daughter in the works (the sequel Snowballs In Hell released on January 3rd). Actually, I've got a couple sequels/side character stories coming but I don't like to talk them up much until I get the contracts. I'm somewhat superstitious you see. But, I do invite anyone who's interested in my work to check out my site at http://www.EveLanglais.com . I warn you though, the covers are hot, so make sure you have a cold drink and a fan nearby :)
Thank you Belinda for the interview and the chance to tell people about Lucifer's Daughter, and Happy Reading for 2011 everyone.

Hi, I’m Muriel, the only white sheep in a sea of black ones, and a virgin to boot. I am determined to wait for love, but my dad, more commonly known as Lucifer, just wants me to stop being an embarrassment. I’m hoping the hunk that I met in my bar will turn out to be the one–just looking at him makes my insides melt like marshmallows over the coals of hell, but trusting is hard when it seems everyone I get close to ends up trying to kill me. Not only am I dealing with an extreme case of lust, there’s a new threat in hell, one my dad says to ignore. Something easier said than done since it seems everywhere I turn demons are trying to kill me. But I’m okay with that, because one thing I’ve learned being a princess of hell is that sometimes I have to grab a demon by the horns and slap it around a bit. A rebellion in hell, demon assassins and scorching kisses, could my life get any more interesting?
