Snoopy Dance Of The Week #3

I was standing there ironing my clothes for work just now when it hit me - I haven't posted my Snoopy Dance for the week. I started looking back over the week to see if there was anything I was excited about and it hit me. For the last two months I've been stuck on a major concern I had with the story I've been working on. I've been stewing on it, trying to look at it from all different angles but the answer has eluded me. I'm driving to work the other day, waiting to make a left turn, listening to the play list I'd made for the story and I had the thought "Belinda, sometimes the best way is to K.I.S.S" (keep it simple silly) BAM !!! The solution I'd been waiting for hand delivered itself and as a result, the next 4 scenes came so fast I couldn't write them down fast enough. So that my dance for this week!  What's yours?

Waiting On Wednesday #5

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

When I was looking for a book to share, I found two that made me sit up and take notice. As you can tell from my past WOW's I have a HUGE thing for paranormal romance and anything that has the strong Alpha type male. I love reading about warriors and the clash of wills they no doubt will have when they find the woman who turns their world upside down. I've found a book that I think will satisfy my cravings. And talking about cravings, the second book I found comes from one of my favorite historical authors who writes about the most breathtaking men on the planet - Highlanders. I'm surprised to see she has a new book coming out and so looks like I'm going to be one happy reader!! Here they are... (click the title)

Forget How He Kisses, What About How He Smells?

Being the imaginative person that I am, the other day while I was reading, I came across a description of how the leading woman in the story took one smell of the man she was with and couldn't get enough. You read that alot right? How it was so appealing that she would take deep long breathes, taking his scent deep into her lungs. When I come to these parts in the story, along with picturing the scene, I also try to add in details using my other senses. I try drawing on past memories of smelling similar things and I have to say that I'm kinda glad that I don't have a great "smellgination" because seriously, I'd think I'd puke all over my book. Here's why:

Life Is Good Award

I love surprises and thanks to Emily at Dragons Ate My Homework when she told me she passing it on to me, I could help but do a little dance around my husband, grinning like a giddy schoolgirl. Pity I forgot I was in Walmart. I figure though that those who saw shouldn't complain because how often do they get to see a free show and not have to pay for it.  So, the award directions are: To accept the award you must link back and thank the person who gave you the Life is Good award. Answer the 10 questions and pass it along to 6 other blogs.

So now for the questions *gulp* Are you all ready?  (click title)

Snoopy Dance Of The Week #2

Ever find yourself in the right place, at the right time and experience a moment so profound that it leaves you speechless? I had one of these moments this week and really wanted to share it. This past Sunday (9/5) at 11.23am, I witnessed a miracle as I helped my friend give birth to her BEAUTIFUL son Zach. Nothing could EVER have prepared me for how incredible it would be or the intense emotions that course through you as you stand there and watch something so incredibly *struggles to find the right words* .... see a week later and I'm still at a loss for words to describe how momentous it was. All I know is if this isn't worth a Snoopy Dance... I don't know what is. Hope you had your dance this week :D

Waiting On Wednesday #4

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I am always on the hunt for HOT Alpha paranormal warriors. I don't know how I stumbled across the Midnight Breed series but if you listen really closely, you can hear the books sizzle on your bookshelves. They're definitely an adult romance read with 7 books out so far and with the 8th one ready to be released, I'm looking for a heart pounding read that is guaranteed to scorch.

In My Mailbox #2

In My Mailbox is a neat meme hosted by The Story Siren where we can celebrate some of the great books and treats we've received over the week. I'm a little giddy this week. Ok ALOT giddy. I've been in a book drought for the last 2 months and I thought I'd never be able to buy the books I wanted without taking out a 2nd mortgage on my house. It seemed that there was always new books coming into the house - either through the mail or from the store and suddenly it just STOPPED. So this week has been kind of crazy and is seriously NOT the norm at the moment. I'm almost positive once the euphoria of new books and unrestrained purchasing is over, I'll feel a little queasy but as I look over my treasures ... I just don't seem to care  MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA    (click title for more)

Just Something New I Wanted To Do

Snoopy Dance Of The Week

Dark Peril by Christine Feehan FINALLY came out

I LOVE the Carpathian hunter. His protectiveness. His sensuality. The way he whispers those terms of endearments in his language. His masculinity. **HUGE sighes** I'm half way through the book and already I can tell that Dominic has completely stolen my heart and I'll be daydreaming about for weeks to come.

Book Blogger Hop #5 / My Week In Review

September 3-6, 2010

Give me a quick second ok? *does a quick scan of her bedroom, feeling along the edges of her door, moving books on her bookshelves, peeking under the bed and digging through the sock draw* Hmmm nothing. I could've sworn that some how Jennifer at Crazy-For-Books had some how bugged my room because ONCE AGAIN this week's question is one I had JUST asked myself a few days ago when I was participating in Teaser Tuesday and Waiting On Wednesday. Here's the question :

Do You Judge A Book By Its Cover?
