I've been sitting here thinking (I know, scary right?) and I can't help but smile and be grateful for this passing year. 2010 has been such a HUGE year for me with all the different opportunities for growth and new experiences I had. I can honestly say that I'm not the same person I was this time next year - I'm happier and more confident and I definitely have a real spring to my step. So what exactly happened? I thought I'd spend the next few days and share some of the highlights with everyone.
Obviously, one of the major things to happen this past year was I began blogging. Before I became The Bookish Snob, I would read, read, read and then talk everyones ears off about how much I loved the book and the characters. I'm a passionate person so I would just rant and gush all over the place and I'm pretty sure I drove people NUTS. It was my BFF Lacey who came up with the idea to blog but I kept telling myself no one would be interested in anything I'd say so I kept avoiding the subject. Bless her heart, Lacey paid no attention and I found myself one day in May with a newly created blog and persona. "Off you go now Belinda, start blogging!" It was a little scary at first because there was just so many things to learn but I have to say, blogging has been an amazing experience and I absolutely LOVE it. Never underestimate the power of having an outlet for your passion. I love the creativity that comes with designing the blog, writing the reviews and posting my thoughts. I love being able to connect with other bloggers who share a similar love of reading and the camaraderie that comes from being part of an amazing community. I'm just incredibly grateful for the way everyone has accepted and taken me in. Now I can't imagine NOT blogging :D
