Waiting On Wednesday #5

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

When I was looking for a book to share, I found two that made me sit up and take notice. As you can tell from my past WOW's I have a HUGE thing for paranormal romance and anything that has the strong Alpha type male. I love reading about warriors and the clash of wills they no doubt will have when they find the woman who turns their world upside down. I've found a book that I think will satisfy my cravings. And talking about cravings, the second book I found comes from one of my favorite historical authors who writes about the most breathtaking men on the planet - Highlanders. I'm surprised to see she has a new book coming out and so looks like I'm going to be one happy reader!! Here they are... (click the title)

Ecstasy In Darkness
Gena Showalter
512 pages
Not yet released

Growing up poor on New Chicago’s meanest streets, Ava Sans had two options: be the predator or be the prey. No contest. Now, working for Alien Investigation and Removal, she’s been ordered to capture the biggest, baddest warrior of all—a vampire too beautiful to be real, with the ability to manipulate time. Once the leader of the entire vampire army, McKell has been deemed savage and unstable, spurned even by his own kind.To McKell, humans should be nothing more than sustenance. Yet the petite, golden-skinned Ava is a fascinating contradiction—vicious yet witty, strong yet vulnerable, lethal but fiercely loyal. Against his better judgment, McKell craves that loyalty, and much more. When the chase leads to seduction, McKell and Ava will race to discover the truth about his past. But the answers will come at a price, even for a woman who thought she had nothing left to lose. . . .

Highland Protector
Hannah Howell
352 pages

Someone would see Ilsabeth Murray Armstrong hang for murder. When her dagger is found in the body of one of the king's men, there is little room for doubt - the perpetrator must pay with her life. But Ilsabeth is no killer, and only one person can help clear her name: Sir Simon Innes, a man so steely and cool that no danger can rattle him...And no woman in distress can sway his heart. Until now. Simon has spent his life searching for truth in a world fraught with deception. But the hauntingly beautiful fugitive seeking his aid affects him so deeply, he wonders if he can trust the flawless judgement he has always relied on, For all signs point to Ilsabeth's guilt, except one - the unparalleled desire he feels at her slightest touch...

Okay, I must admit that I've been shying away from this genre, but in the spirit of BBAW and Unexpected Treasures, I may just have to dive in!

Thanks for visiting my blog.

My favorite phrase I reserve for moments like this" "Lick the screen worthy."!!
