Teaser Tuesday #3

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading and it asks us to...

1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3. Share a couple of “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

Share the title and author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.

(click on the title for mine)

His hand cupped the side of her face, his gentleness nearly her undoing. His thumb caressed her cheek and jaw. "Kessake - my little cat. Do not look so distressed. When a man has waited a thousand years for the one woman who is his alone, she is the very definition of beauty to him. What others see cannot matter. Only what I see matters. And I want you to see through my eyes. You should see the woman I see" - Pg 106

Ok. I know this is a cheat but I only JUST finished it and was dying to share a teaser from this book. I'm in the middle of my review for it so keep an eye out on the bottom of my meme's and I'll let you know when it's posted.

** FYI - I just posted TWO new giveaways called "Ahoy Landlubber" and "Ravish Me". Click here to learn more about how to enter **

A vampire?

In regards to my "bite" teaser: the doctor has a...dinosaur-ish appearance, but he's a nice guy. Troi needed an operation, but was panicking: he bit her to release venom that would put her into a kind of stasis so that she wouldn't die in the short-term.

He actually bit her in the book preceding this, and I'd forgotten all about it until I picked up the sequel and saw his fangs in her stomach!

How romantic! True too. People very rarely see themselves for who they are, in both good and bad...

LOVE this teaser! It's all in the eye of the beholder!

Can you believe I have never read a book by Feehan? I don't know why, since the moodily romantic tone of the excerpts I have seen do appeal to me. Hmm. Must correct the situation. I look forward to reading your review. Thank you for the nudge, and for visiting my blog!

Same as Danielle above, I haven't read any of her romance books. I did pick up her Leopard series, but I'm not sure I'd read any more of the books.

My teaser is at e-Volving Books

Very romantic; 1000 years? Wow! I've not read any of Feehan's books yet, but I've got several on my wishlist. This teaser makes me want to give them a chance!

Mad, what the heck? You bought that?!? Am I the only one who has any cynical tendensies to go "phleeze, that's pathetic, 1000 years? Seriously? Dude, get a life!"

Ask Mads, she'll tell you I hate romance and romantic gestures.

Good teaser, though. :D

Just like Danielle, I have never read books by Feehan. In truth, I never read romance in my life...but I like your teaser.

Thank you for reading my teaser earlier

She must be quite the sight. Of course, if I were writing the book, I'd have straw in her hair or some such for this speech. Well, maybe.

Wow awesome teaser!! This is the first time I heard about this book, and let me tell you this teaser is tempting!!

lulilut said...

I have several of her books - I need to start reading them. I so far behind...

Also, if you haven’t read any of the Dragonriders of Pern books – here’s a great website for different suggestions of reading order since the series is so huge: http://pern.srellim.org/bookinfo.htm
If not I would read in the order they were published not chronological order.
